Medical image processing is the use and investigation of 3D image files of the human body, typically collected from a Computed Tomography (CT) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner, to diagnose disorders, guide medical procedures such as surgery planning, or for research purposes. Radiologists, engineers, and physicians work together to improve medical image processing. Obtaining raw data from CT or MRI images and reconstructing them into a format appropriate for usage in applicable software is the first step in medical image processing. Biomedical image processing is a vast field that includes biomedical data gathering through image formation, processing, and display to medical diagnosis based on visual attributes.
